The Garden

Gardening is a great passion of mine which I share with my Mum and Sister, we all love the great outdoors. The past year has made us even more keen to share our families lovely garden, it’s a such a special space to us. You will be able to come and relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding Rye Levels and South Downs. We are planning to run a pop-up café serving up light lunches, cakes and refreshments. Our menus will be celebrating ingredients that are seasonal, home-grown or locally sourced, dates will be released in late spring.

I am currently studying Practical Horticulture to build my knowledge and understanding of how to grow great plants. My family and I shall be putting our effort into improving the bee and bug friendly flower beds and wild areas of the garden, as we are all keen to make it a nature friendly space.

I am continuing to invest my time developing the kitchen garden, where seasonally I will supply some of my own ingredients, which I will use in my sweet and savoury baking. I also have plans to build on my edible flower collection which I use when decorating my cakes and desserts.

I believe ingredients are of such great importance and the environment is so key to every part of my cooking. I will be offering a seasonal menu to encourage my customers to celebrate the amazing fruits and vegetables that are available locally in the UK. I hope that this combination of steps will help inspire others to create a more sustainable food industry for the future.
